We opened the show this morning with the change in White House Chief of Staff from former RNC chairman, Reince Priebus to Secretary of Homeland Security Kelly. Many think Kelly will be able to keep things moving, expecting results along the way and keeping things under control.
We also discussed marijuana (cannabis) and the different ways this crop is integrated with our society. There are both legal and illegal forms of the crop. Because it has been made illegal both federally and in many states, a black market for the drug has been created. Colorado and several other states have decriminalized the use of marijuana, which has changed the market. It is less expensive in states that have decriminalized.
We opened the second hour of the show with the effects of sanctioned gay marriage. We have seen that cake baker, florists, and photographers have been under serious attack for declining service. We have been watching and waiting to see whether or not polygamy would be the next battle from the left.
We discussed the debate surrounding anti-science and what the actual definition of “anti-science” is. There are many issues on both the left and the right which cause an issue with science. Global warming, vaccines, gender fluidity etc. are among the few issues with dissenting views. However, the extent to which we allow science to influence policy is where the discussion needs to be.
