We are back live this morning after spending the week celebrating our nation’s independence.
We started the conversation with the news from the G20 meetings that took place this past week. The protestors were cast as anti-Trump instead of anti-government. Protestors have made themselves known at G20 meetings for years. Their plight had nothing really to do with Trump. The media also had a freak out over Ivanka Trump who sat in for her father at a G20 meeting.
We went through a piece which discussed the apparent hate throughout the United States. The piece claims “hate symbols” have increased as right-wingers attacking Blacks, Muslims, etc is also on the rise. While these incidents are isolated, the author makes it seems like these “hate crimes” are happening everywhere all the time. However, the author fails to mention expressed hatred on the left, including the leftist who attempted to assassinate congressional Republicans practicing for a bipartisanship baseball game. We went through a list of all the things Rob Scofield from Policy Watch was wrong about. Some things that made the list were Green Energy would create jobs, tax cuts will hurt the economy, Obamacare is working for Americans, Climate Change models and much more. Instead of having a discussion about what is working the left clings to their talking points regardless of the contradictory facts proving otherwise.
We went through a piece about feminism and how feminism is making women lonely and childless. Most women do want to get married and have children. They typically wanted to marry someone with equal of greater education level and aren’t interested in settling for someone who doesn’t want to settle down. Many women feel this is out of reach as women are told job success is where their focus should be.
