Today we opened the show with the budget override after Governor Cooper’s veto. The ink on the veto hadn’t even dried before it was overridden by the Senate.
Matthew Hebb and Chris Sinclair joined us on the program to discuss Marsy’s law and the need to protect the rights of victims. We discussed the need to get this law on the ballot next May. Both Matthew and Chris hope NC will be a part of a larger movement to ensure the rights of victims are not abused.
Dr. Terry Stoops joined us in the studio to discuss the state budget and the funding for education. We discussed the positive and negative aspects and what changes we can expect to educational funding for schools across the state.
